  7.        Enter host-name or NSAP-LSAP address:prompt, enter ncl.mailbase

  18. Mailbase is the JANET electronic mail based group information exchange
  19. service  which allows groups of users to manage their  own  discussion
  20. lists and to share information.  The full-screen service allows simple
  21. on-line  browsing of the publicly-available  part of this information.
  22. The copyright for the information stored is held either by the authors
  23. or by the NISP Project.

  25. To quit if you have problems:  Press "Control" and "C" together.

  27. This full-screen interface to Mailbase uses "Ingres Forms". These will
  28. be shown on the next screen.

  30. To make a query you will need to:
  31. o    Position the cursor over the data which you want to access
  32. o    Select a command from the menu line by either:
  33.           Using the function key shown next to the command name
  34.      Or if your terminal does not have "function keys":
  35.           Use the "menu" key (often the "ESC" key") to move the cursor
  36.                to the command line at the bottom of the screen.
  37.           Type the command name (or the unique first letter(s) of its
  38.                name) on the command line.

  40. The  key mappings for your particular terminal may be seen by choosing
  41. the "Help" menu item followed by  the  "Keys"  menu  item.   Note  the
  42. settings for:  the  "menu" key (usually the ESC key)
  43.                "cursor up", "cursor down", "forward a page"
  44.  
  45. Help  is  available  at  all stages.
  46. For a quick exit if you have problems:  Press "Control" and "C" together.
